My guess is that Vigortronix is brand name for chinese-made OEP's.

Um, if you enter http://www.vigortronix.com into your browser, you will go to the site of an English company located in Whitney, Oxfordshire. It says right on their site that they have a Chinese manufacturing subsidiary.

Don't buy those...

The way they came into being is total BS and totally unethical. It's headed up by OEP's Ex-marketing manager. When he left, he solicited all of OEP's customers, myself included. I got a package in the mail from them and multiple e-mails, which I find to be in VERY poor taste. When I inquired as to who they were and why their products look exactly the same as oep, and as to how they got my address and personal info they gave me vague and dishonest answers.

PLEASE PEOPLE, DON'T SUPPORT THIS PRODUCT!!!

Hi,
I think the company we are talking about here is Belclere, not Belclare. The name originaly come from products it made, hearing aids. You could hear as clear as a bell, Belclere.

I was the Works manager of Belclere when in 1982 I left the company to set up my own business OEP (Oxford Electrical Products) I was the only one that left Belclere for OEP. After two years Belclere went into receivership.

Four years ago, 2005, I sold OEP which since has not performed very well.

So the reality is there was once a Bel'air transformer winder who loved her craft and designed the specs for a nice little audio transformer set that has graced many homes with an eco-friendly price.Now she may be pushing up daises.
Her innocent endeavour lives on as a business venture of pump and dump in a micro industry that has crap profits.

Makes you happy for the happyfolks at Edcor,Mr.Lundahls grist and the Sowter family tradition.
