here is another way to hook up the 110b that I got from Dr. Tom Gruning at Gruning Audioworks, LLC. Thanks for the insight Tom!
P1
1-5 are star ground
3 to 0V on power supply
7 to + output only (cut off negative wire for output)
10 jumpered to 11
14 to star ground
15 to P2-1 (+15V)
P2
1 to +15V (on power supply) and P1-15
2 to -15V )(on power supply)
14 to – of mic in
15 to + of mic in
Shield to chassis
All mic and output shields/grounds go to chassis
A-30
+(pos) Output of 110 module to pin 15
Remember to simply leave – (neg) out
Output ground from 110 module to pin 13
-15V to pin 12
+15V to pin 11
Jumper pins 13 to 10 to 1 and connect to 0V from power supply
+Output jack to pin 7
- Output jack to pin 6
Ground Output jack to pin 1
JUMPER pin one to pin three and pin 2 to pin 4
THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!
The gain will be far too high. On the 110, change R37 ( 620R ) to 8K2, change R35 (10K) to 1K
On the A-30 if you strap the transformer for 150R primary (and this is best) then change R3 ( 390R ) to 8K2.
Wiring the edge connectors. P1 pins 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 need to go to 0V, make this point your star ground for all other 0V wires.
Link fader send and return, or rewire one of the aux pots in place to turn it into an output level control.
Read the info on the A30 schematic about the links on the edge connector for the transformer.
Make sure you wire pin 13, 10, 1 to 0V. Take the signalf rom the 110B module output to the A30 + input, leave the - input disconnected.
So wire everything up and if the EQs still don't work, try changing out all the ICs. That usually does the trick.
Have fun!
Best,
Tom
