Has anyone tried something like this for audio? Maybe there is another model more apropriate for audio use that I´m also not aware of... It seems no more caps...? what is it anyway? An optimal servo built in?

Butchering like this in audio will give more problems than it will solve in relevant (audio-)areas I guess... as we know DC-specs are usually not the major concern. It may be good enough to be able to eliminate DC (so popless switching is possible, but there are more elegant ways to that goal).

However, PWM-based compressors exist and can be made well, so who knows there can be a net gain from all this switching. But it has to be done well.
