What shocks me the most is the anchor selling his stuff with his fatherly grin...ruffrecords said:Shocking.

To quote Sir Charles, "if black people can't call the police, who are they gonna call... Ghostbusters?". He makes a lucid point.

Because of an incident with a few idiots (who should be brought to justice, obviously) you are insinuating that the entire movement is illegitimate and violent, instead of a social movement brought on by actual grievances.
And you seem to ignore the centuries of violence and oppression that form the context of the situation were are in today.
Meanwhile you are silent on the evidence I posted in the other thread about actual planned violence (criminal conspiracy) of rightwing groups in Portland.
So, I'm afraid it's shame on you, Sir.
pucho812 said:You do understand that all the white car did was try and get around protesters trying to get home. While people have a right to protest they do not have a right to vandalize the area, or attack a car. You will notice the white car didn’t even hit anyone until they had to flee in fear which caused the accident with the green car and the rest.
As for shame on me, I don’t live in Portland. While they have their own problems, we have ours in l.a.. As was said to me years ago, want to change the world start by making your bed in the morning. In other words take care of home. Having this kind of behavior that close makes taking care of home difficult.
living sounds said:It's not about the event as such, but about the context. It's obvious from your posts that you are driven to paint BLM in the worst possible light, by focussing exclusively on any negativity associated with it. Why?
pucho812 said:Because, ultimately what the claims are, do not line up with what is actually happening...
This has been shown time and time again. Almost every time there is a BLM protest near the studio it doesn't end well.

But thanks for sharing opinions about white supremacy being the number one terroristic threat I guess they replaced all the ones chanting death to America over seas.
I agree, but you have been able to attach death to one side and property damage to another. I'd rather have my windows broken than end up dead. The reason I posted the right-wing extremist death articles is because there is reliable documentation about how white supremacy is becoming more common/infiltrating our police departments. I just didn't have the energy to continue with those who are selfish and refuse to see... or can justify driving a car through people. May as well just mow them down with a gun.rjb5191 said:All extremeism should be condemmed. It sounds like white supremecist groups are associated with the most the violent deaths and leftist extremeist groups have obviously been far ahead in property damage and looting. Both are wrong.
Every situation is different, indeed.desol said:I usually tend to think that things happen for a reason. If black people are being murdered by the police over and over again, without regard...there's a problem. I'm just not sure where the actual problem is. Every situation is different.

I can't imagine why everyone is going so crazy... Unequal treatment, maybe?
desol said:If systemic racism is real, I guess each person needs to have a look in a mirror and simply ask themselves.."am I racist?" If so, why?
living sounds said:There's unintended/unconscious bias, but systemic racism is the failure to adress intentional racism as well as unintended bias on the organizational level.
It's a complex issue, but I agree, people need to accept the problem exists as a first step. Many are unable or unwilling to do that.
Especially in a situation where ethnic groups are pitted against each other for political and economic profit (scapegoading).
