That's definitely at the top of the list.  I think there's maybe one from that era surviving somewhere today? 

It's also tough to beat the Western Electric 25-B, being part of a full table assembly too.  There's a chromed table assembly RCA from the late 1930's as well, from their 'budget' line that looks pretty boss.

For anyone who is interested they were called 'Dramatic Control Panels' an absolutely inspired name. They were used briefly by BBC radio at the newly built Broadcasting House in the early 1930s. For more details check this page about half way down.

I like the " spaceship "  flying saucer like look of it , I find it curious that outside of today's
normal ergonomic considerations it looks like there was some thought about  style & appearance.
