That's definitely at the top of the list.  I think there's maybe one from that era surviving somewhere today? 

It's also tough to beat the Western Electric 25-B, being part of a full table assembly too.  There's a chromed table assembly RCA from the late 1930's as well, from their 'budget' line that looks pretty boss. 

 
I like the " spaceship "  flying saucer like look of it , I find it curious that outside of today's
normal ergonomic considerations it looks like there was some thought about  style & appearance.
