HI folks,

I would like to rack that module (I have 4 of them) and I would like to have a output volume before a THAT 1646.
I will not use the 1K fader, I'll remove it, otherwise it will not fit the 19" rack.
What would be the best node to add that volume ? can I reuse one of the sends ?
Do I have to add a 5534 buffer before the That1646 ?
What are your suggestions for best performance ?

Thanks in advance.

I would probably just feed a 1k pot from the prefade insert send. According to the spec sheet the 1646 has a typical input impedance of 5k, which works very well with a 1k pot. Then you can bypass all of the mixing network after the insert and minimise loss.

INSERT SEND > 1K POT > 1646
