So, i got this one today for repair as it was very noisy. No wonder, capsule leads go through pcb to fet, resistors soldered to pcb with no additional isolation.... but i resolved that in 5 minutes.

However, i checked the capsule, and front part seemed like regular chinese k67... so i got dissapointed at first.

And then the other side, tuning part. Just added to one half of (most likely chinese) capsule.

Tuning backplate

The ring is threaded, and by turning the backplate frequency response is fine tuned, as well as the pattern.

The capsule has phenomenal low end, very flat high end! No trace of k67 peaks. Very warm capsule, with great mid/high rejection from the back.

So, for people who can machine this part, here's a tip how to tune and soften k67 capsule

Keep in mind by tuning it you also change pickup pattern. Also, there is quite a bit of play in the threading, so use some locking paint, or teflon tape to secure its position to avoid response changes.

I had the same microphone here, some time ago for repair.
Didn't do measurements, but what surprised me was the piece of screened cable(!) running through one of the 'arms'. In fact, this is nothing else than a permanent 'pad' on the microphone capsule...

Same here! It surely wasn't the quietest mic ever. Also if i remember well all the HiZ parts were soldered directly to the PCB.
