I'm looking for the schematic of the BOSS PN2 TREMOLO PAN guitar pedal.

This is an old pedal, not made anymore by BOSS for a long time.
After googleing and searching most guitar pedal DIY sites I couldn't find anything.
I used it once in the late 90s and I liked very much what it did. Recently discovered, that it is rare and it became a relatively expensive pedal. I would not pay what they ask for it, so DIY looks like a viable option.
Anyone has the schemo?

You could try this instead...

My guess it that it does the same stuff as that old boss pedal.

I'm looking for this for more than a year, and I can't believe there is no info about it anywhere. Tried most stompbox DIY related forums.

I found many similar projects, but I want the exact sound of the PN-2. There is some rumour that the Behringer TP300 is an exact clone of the PN-2. If it is true, 30$ would be a great deal. Anyone can confirm?

Chris, the Behringer TP300 is indeed an exact clone of the PN-2
Has the same stereo I/O and same rate/depth and "mode" settings.
I have the VB-2 clone and it is 99% accurate !
Great sounds just that crappy plastic box and jack sockets.
I will re-house my VB-2 clone at some point into a metal box with proper
neutrik jack sockets.
For the money - and if your not planning on touring with the TP300, I say
go for it 200%

Regards,
Marty.

EDIT: I did used to have a PN-2 but sold it once it became worth a fortune
I think that I got over £150 for it !!

Hi Marty

Thank you, that is great news.
I will go and buy one. And of course open it to see how it is done (opto, fets, OTA) and report back.

By the way, I remember I read one of your post about a flight to Bucharest (unfortunately read it days later after you posted). I think in that period was the Alphaville concert and I read on your homepage that you are seriously involved with Alphaville, so the question is, you was here for concert?
I was a big fan of Alphaville when I was a teenager, it was my favorite pop band. Liked very much the orchestrations and sounds.

Yes, I've toured/recorded with them on and off since 1995 !
We have been to Bucharest a few times and had a great time there.
Let me know how the TP300 works out ?

Regards,

Marty.

FWIW, using another gaincontrol-element than the original (2159 as shown by PCB-pics on the net by Floris), but indeed functionally equivalent. In case the TP300 schematic itself has emerged, sure interested!
