Yep. Didn't find any, but with a clip-on heat sink, a quick slip could have possibly shorted something I suppose. I'll try again with the screw on type. I've got a few here.

It's shorting between pins 2 & 3. In and Out. I disconnected D10 to make sure it wasn't the culprit, but it tested fine.
 
Ok like I said, I've been out of DIY for too long and my brain just started working again...

Using the Triad VPT36, it gives me about 21.2VAC RMS on each leg. Peak is about 30V. Triple that to 90, and I'm asking the 317 to handle 5V more than it's rated for. Honestly I'm surprised it lasted in circuit as long as it did. SO I'm either going to get a different PT, swap the 317 for a 317HV (rated for about 50V I believe), or perhaps I'll even try swapping in a TL783. That could be fun.
