bulding a reamp, only I didn't use quite the correct stuff?

Ok, so I built the jensen reamp, only I had a JT-11-FLCF
sitting around instead of a JT-11-P, so it's a 600:600 instead of
a 10k:150, or a 10k:10k, and then also, the two pots are 10k and 10k.

So, it seems to work fine, amy I deaf, or are the pots compensating for
the ratio? does that make sense?

Yes, I just confirmed that.
The JT-11-FLCF is 600:600 output trany (I used this cause I was gonna make a DI box.)
and design calls for a JT-11-P, a 10k:10k input transformer, I hooked up
the colors the exact same way.

And assuming I am delivering the singal at the correct type for the amp,
wouldn't the recorded signal have some of the initial pickup signature?

you mean from the mic or do you mean the signature of the amp? the answer is assuming it's all working in order whatever gets sent to the amp will have the character of the amp. so say you reamp and use a marshall whatever is sent via reamp box to the marshall will come out the marshall. which when you mic it up and record it you will have that marshall sound on what you sent to it. I havbe a feeling it shouldn't be working preperly as you are usings a 600:600 VS a 10K:10K yes both 1:1 trafos but there are differences check the data sheets.

Whatever you're feeding the reamp box with probably has low enough output impedance that it won't make a difference whether you use a 600:600 or a 10000:10000 transformer. If it sounds good, don't fix it.

Peace,
Al.
