A quick heads-up for UK & European DIYers - a company in the UK is selling seventeen Digidesign 888 & 888/24 interfaces - these are the old ones that are essentially useless now - for £35 each. The 2U case alone is worth that!
In addition they come with a bunch of panel-mounted male & female XLRs, a couple of BNCs, SPDIF & AES/EBU i/o and an IEC connector / internal power supply, plus front-panel LED bargraphs and jack sockets
I think I might have talked myself into buying one!
