C12 from Apex 460 muddy sound

Hi, I rebuild Apex 460 to C12 type circuit. I used schematics from this forum. I have a Takstar CTS-4 capsule.

Problem is, it sounds without high freq spectrum and it’s too muddy.

Mic sounds like, say cheap ribbon.

Perhaps the capsule is defective. Do you have a second one to test whether the amplifier or the capsule is the problem?

could also be that the capsule is collapsing

Thank you very much for your respond.

I tried Takstar and another capsule from mxl mic. Both had the same issue. Now I find after two weeks that one cable was on wrong place.

I solved the problem for now. I replaced wire and its working.
