C414 EB-style capsule mounting?

I'm building a pair of Vamisound V-414's (more info here), and I'm in the final stages now that I got a beautiful pair of CK12-style capsules from @OPR. I went to install the capsules, only realize that I don't have a good way to do so. Mark supplies the brass saddles with his capsules, but no mounting posts, and I'm not sure if I want to use mounting posts anyway. Real C414 EB's used some kind of plastic/rubber mount, as seen in these pictures:

The Vamisound instructions show a post instead, but it looks to me like that would place the capsule too high up:

Thoughts? Anyone have any creative ideas? I suppose I could try to have something 3D printed, but I've never messed with that before.
 
Well, I gave a shot at designing one to fit into the usual Chinese 414 body (as seen on the Vamisound page).

It's 8mm tall in total (2mm flat and then 6mm slanted), and it's designed to fit on the metal platform in the body. I added spaces for two captive M2 nuts on the bottom (to attach it to the metal platform), and one captive M3 nut on top (to mount the saddle to). The round cutouts on the sides are to allow capsule wires to be routed down through the holes in the platform.

Printing it in TPU 70-A, which seems like it would have a similar Shore hardness to the vulcanized rubber or whatever was used in the original, would cost about $40 per mount. Not cheap, but not terrible for a custom part.

I've never done this before though. Anyone have experience designing for 3D printing?

That doesn't provide a way to suspend/mount the capsule.

You beat me to it, I was fiddling with something like that just today on a 3D software.

Yes you can. Put either a rubber cylinder (a bit too high for capsule ) fixed on that Hexagonal hole in the middle .
Or use those metal U shaped'ish adaptors coming with some C12 copie capsules.

I would like to see more DIY stabs at that AKG style capsule suspension; I've taken a few stabs at it, but not very successfully.
i will do anything provided people want to send me samples to make my own drawings of. can't promise it'll necessarily be cheap though now that we're doing it ourselves

I have two original 414 EB and I think the best solution is to take a soft eraser, cut it to the size that fits the housing of the body, glue it to the base, and secure the capsule with two metal tabs screwed onto both the capsule and the eraser.

Any chance you could measure the height of the capsule from the top and bottom of the headbasket? If I can get those measurements, it shouldn’t be too hard to make a good substitute part for the available Chinese bodies.
 
If you want some advice, use the Neumann circuit for the U47 with the 6CW4 nuvistor. I believe it is the best overall, considering the original U47 FET and U87, which I have owned for years.
