A sherman filterbank - sure, once I can find a schematic or can afford to buy it.

Right now I'm concentrating on the mixer, though! That's the most important one for me and I'm not spending on other stuff

I am just wondering wther the aggressive filters/EQ ranges within the sherman would be ideal for the mixer EQ. (ie ignore the ADSL stuff)

Hmmmm, not totally sure! I don't know if it can be tuned to not give resonance at the cut-off (which wouldn't be very good for an EQ, even one as "crazy" as what I'm looking for)

There is also a nice eq from Mr Barry Porter on the net , here in this forum by rogy , inclusiv pcb and how to put it on 6 , 12 , 18 , 24 dB filter.
Just have a look at this very nice design on in/output and filtering.
