To anyone who has Chunger's SYT-5 v3 body, can you answer a question? He states "Thread engagement is a little bit short on the threaded shock mount, but adequate." My question is how "adequate" is this? I.e., does less threading permit wobble or play between mic and shockmount?

I would be using pairs of these mics around loud drums and other high SPL, so I'm concerned about structure-borne noise that would rattle metal without a tight connection. A second concern is mic threads loosening or completely disengaging out of shockmount threads when hung in whatever weird angle. I imagine Chunger would have considered that as not being 'adequate', but not all scenarios are easily conceived. So, what say ye?

My hope is to avoid the linear process of waiting some time to receive a pair of these mics, evaluating them, then placing another order for another pair. I've written Chunger but thought there is merit in asking others experiences as well. Thanks.
