Anyone know a source for these? I know Bourns had some and maybe Spectrol/Vishay too, but I cannot find them anywhere.

Is there a trick to get a reverse log curve to adjust gain by adjusting the shunt feedback resistance of a non-inverting opamp preamplifier?

I've just been using rotary switches until now, I'd like to use a pot for my next project.

How much money you got?

Poor teenager on Mom's allowance or cooperate exec with an inheritance that would make Trump look like a Chump?

Neither unfortunately (or fortunately?)

Alps are nice. But $$$.

For stereo, sometimes carbon will track better from channel to channel, as far as matching is concearned.. Thats what I heard at least.

They were a "special" even back in the 1970's. Expect to pay BIG bucks if you can even find one. You're looking at minimum order sizes of maybe 100 pieces.

Omeg in the u.k. will make just about anything in quantities of 25pcs, including conductive plastic track types.

Not very expensive at all, but the "feel" is not as good as you may want.

The quality is decent though - specially considering the price.

Here we go again...

You can't make a C-law pot of the kind we audio folk need in the way described on that site. It cannot be done - do the math.

Mr. Keen should really revise that article, as it keeps popping up every few months...

Peace,
Al.
