Is that a molded connector? If so I think it is defective. When a dB25 has a separate shell, the thinner diameter part  behind the threads sits on a mating bump. This keeps it in place and provides a loose fit for the screw so there is some play to make mating connectors easier.

yes its molded connector... they all  the same! damn, lots of returns!

I’ve had similar issues where one screw just got jammed in place, which I solved with some wiggling and a bit of WD40  - I’m assuming wiggling hasn’t helped? Strange that it’s an entire batch, if I’m understanding right. Maybe a Friday afternoon lot!

solution is
16-18 gauge cable 3times... that sets the limit....

edit : u have to do this on both screws... if u push it little hard, other one pops further too... or screw a little tight!
