Hey

There's a good few VU meters that came along with the yamaha mc2404 desk I got hold of and I'm wondering if there's any way of finding out what mA, or uA or whatever value they are - is there anyway of finding out? I'm hoping to reuse them - in particular for an internal SSL comp...

Is it case of just attaching as norm and seeing what gives? (changing the resistor value to suit?)

Cheers!

Yes - testing is the only way to find out. But make sure not to overload them..! Most meters will break down at some 2-3x rated full-scale current..
