I'm worried and seeing many rebadge transistors and found a company that is selling some BC461-6 MOT transistors which I'm questioning authentic.

Still looking for some ME manufactured.

Yeah there are counterfeits abroad for with to3s I know..... Not sure about these .

If you can't find any, Is there a substitute part you could use????

I read somewhere that maybe a 2N4037 can work n some cases.......???

Not sure though..

The BC461 is not listed in either the 1997 or the 1994 edition of the Motorola Small Signal Transistors, FETs and Diodes data books. Given the 9520 datecode, they should show up in one or both data books, but they do not. These are almost certainly counterfeit.

Not in '89 either, same book.

I have only seen -6 types made by Micro Electronics.
None of my used or NOS BC441/461 has the no: printed on the top surface only on side.

What is so specific to these that you can't find a substitute?
