An analogue computer is not a million miles from a state-variable filter (i.e. parametric EQ) ...and it was only through the development of analogue computers that we have our op-amp designs... Check out this PDF... ...and many early analogue synths were educational analogue computer modules adapted for audio frequency oscillations... Mark
