Hello,
My previous microphone just broke and i wanted to try a hand in making my own one. Since  electret condensers were the cheapest option i decided to go with that. I just wanted someone to peer review my method and point out any obvious errors.
AUM-5247L-R is the electret condenser i will be using its minimum voltage is  1.5 and 10 is the max.
I plan to have 2 mics one for left and right and plan to plug it in to mu usb sound card. I know the these mics must be powered and i heard that somewhere that the power from the 3.5mm mic jack would be fine. I wont be using a pre-amp and i have no-clue how to make one so im hoping the local voice gain boost be enough. This highly sophisticated somatic should explain some things.  So is there any massive flaws with my design? Also has anyone ever tried the mic i am using, is so do you have an audio sample?
Thanks for all the help.

The powering arrangement on 3.5mm jacks is such that it allows direct connection of electret capsules. You don't need the resistor (it's already in the sound card) and you don't want the capacitor (it cuts DC so the electret would not be powered).

Ok thank you very much for the reply, hope to build this soon. Also do you have any electret capsules that you recommend i need them to be 9.6mm and will be used to record vocals only.
