I have a couple of questions about DIY inductors:

I read a much as possible in previous posts but have these specific questions.

I found the Fair-rite site and they list Mouser and Allied as distributors. However I searched bith catalogs and could not find just the toroid blanks.

What is the best way to order the toroids like CJ's Pultec?

Once I have them, is there a tutorial for winding toroidal inductors?

Thanks and sorry if these have been answered before.

Here is a cut sheet from the Fair-rite cat.
I used the 77 material and had good results as it keeps the turns low=good Q =easy to wind. The bigger the core, the easier to wind.

Tweco (?) in a 1 inch OD was probably stock for the orig. Pultec.

Those are the "A" numbers in the far-rite column.

Ask for a sample directly from the company.
