anybody heard of anyone doing a DIY Isobox. The portable ones are extremely expensive and there really isn't much to them. I would imagine it would be inexpensive to make a door for the front and one for the back.they are basicly clear plastic window and a frame Then add a fan and cut a hole for cables or put a pannel with connectors? sounds pretty simple wonder why the isobox is so expensive other then people are willing to spend that kind of cash. is ther something I am missing?

There's been a few threads about these before as I remem - including one with a doc sum1 put together with deats on how they built theres...try a search for PC isolation box (search all terms)...

Here are some pictures of the box I built. Not too bad, but no window.

Pretty cool design.
I was surprized to see no dampening in the ducts though.
Is there any?

Yeah, there is 1" floam lining the ducts. the air has to make the U shaped journey in and out of the box. It works really well, but I also have a variable speed fan and a tempature sensor to make sure my box doesn't overheat.
