Sometime over 20 years ago I bought a college electronics textbook at an antique store in Hillsboro Texas about 60 miles south of Dallas.

The book was "Transistors" by Kiver, second edition copyright 1959. I didn't notice it in the store when I bought it, but when I returned home after our road trip I noticed the most interesting name written inside the front cover...

Don Lancaster was a regular author writing pieces for Popular Electronics back around the same time I was publishing kit articles.

I did not know him.
