driving pin 3

Question

Are there any microphone preamps that will have an issue with the  input pin 3 being the driven side from an impedance balanced drive?

Perhaps uber-cheap crap ones that have impedance-balanced inputs? I've yet to come across any, but i suppose it's not outside the realms of possibility.

Can't really think of any others that could or would, though. Transformer-input ones obviously not, and solid-state ones shouldn't have an issue either. But what do i know?

I would say not  the mic-input directly but the microphone wouldn't do much on unbalanced inputs where pin 3 is grounded.
