The one in my main guitar’s volume position has gotten slightly noisy after approximately a year of use. A few rapid turns clears the noise for a week or so. It’s sealed so I’m not going to be cleaning it and it’s not bad enough to replace.

I am now upgrading the pickups in that guitar’s successor and am wondering if I should use the Dunlops in my parts bin (500k, analog taper, 3/8” shaft), or a perfect fit to this Indonesian guitar and my current preferred taper (CTS, B500k, M8 shaft)?

Opinions? Did I just get unlucky with that Dunlop Super?

I have had sealed pots from all places go scratch over time, it happens although it shouldn't. You could try and trill a tiny hole so you could get cleaner I there. But be careful, can easily drill to far and destroy the pot.
