I've been religiously buying good ceramic caps for feedback networks and such but have often wondered about using mica caps here. What, if any, differences have you seen/heard?

thanks :thumb:

true. it was just a thought that passed through my head. i was wondering if they imparted harmonics or anything of that nature but I suppose that doesn't matter in an application like this.

high quality ceramics in 22-100pf ranges are still a dime a dozen though.. as opposed to 1.60$ for ONE mica..

thanks!

It used to be that Mica was the best, ceramics were just cheap.

Modern ceramics in pFd sizes are VERY good.

If Mica makes you happy, use it. I would not expect any difference in sound.
