ELMA Switch 04-2133 .. need help soldering it

Hi guys,

I need your help soldering resistors to an ELMA 04-2133 rotary switch. This is going to be a master volume knob in a summing mixer.

I only need 21 positions since I already have bought the resistor values needed (see table below)
I found this little metal stop washer and was able to pull it out. If I put it into position 21 however, it still has 24 positions if I turn the switch. Should I have paid attention to whereas the switch is fully clockwise or anti-clockwise before re-fitting the washer?
Now I am very confused and don't know where the switch would be in default position.

For 21 positions you need two stop screws
One between position 24 and 1, the other between 21 and 22.

ah okay.. now this makes sense.
bummer it came only with one stop screw
