Hi there !
i recently bought a faulty Emthree Echofinder tape delay with a motor that wasn't running.
i changed the electrolytics, resoldered some crackled solder joints and it all went great.
Not a great sounding machine but still fun to use.
Few hours later the wet signal went away, leaving the dry signal alone.
I did quite some research but didn't find any documentation/schematics for this machine,
so i draw something that looked like one (clearly not an expert at all), at least to guide myself from a component to the following.
I found some oscillations here and there (around 400hz) on the board, and they all lead to a multipins inductor in the erase head sector.
It's a 5 pins inductor (picture below).
i got it out of the circuit and tested it with a LCR meter.
Long story short, whatever the pin combination i test, i still have an inductance, so i guess there's an internal short somewhere ?
My question is, how can i identify this component to buy a replacement as i've got no info at all about it ?
Also, as i already said, i'm not an expert, so if my thinking lead me wrong, please tell me !
Thanks in advance !
