Well, it ain't gonna happen. All the photoresists I have available are for acid etching. Even though they are developed in a basic solution, a base strong enough to etch the oxide kills the resist. I tried 15% sulfuric and nitric acids as an alternative. These are concentrated acids, but are still compatible with my resist. Well, they do etch the oxide, but very slowly. They are also stronger than I want to deal with.
In summary, I actually could etch the panels if I wanted to, but I don't think it's worth it.
