Hello everyone, I've been here a bit before but am finally getting serious about building a discrete EQ  :)

I'm really good w an iron but not design, so I'd need to do it from a kit or at least a PCB.

I remember digging through here about a year ago and finding some promising leads but some things have changed since and I'm not sure where to find any now.

Does anyone know where I can find a discrete multi band parabolic EQ kit/PCB?

I guess I should specify that I don't have a 500 rack. You think I should do that first?

Thanks!

Hahaha shows how long a guy can go WO putting 2&2 together. I take it I just asked for a football bat? Ok so maybe not build a magical beast from mud and manure, but something thats going to give my digimix something sweeter than the modded soundcraft ghost? It does make sweetness but I'm looking for something filled w molases.

Am I making the discrete eq thing up? I thought I saw a kit somewhere on here :-/

Jim is an awesome Dude , and the EQ even more,

Best,
DAn,

Er, ehhh, yeh parameteic. the kind that creates parabolic shaped frequency enhancements... Or something like that! Glad yall knew what I meant.

Not spell check but a good indicator of a guy whos into making music and has no friends to talk to about it.

At least the voices are on my tape and not in my head ;)

Thanks for the suggestions, keep em coming!

I sell Igor's 'He69' parametric EQ, which is a really lovely inductor based EQ for 500 series.
I'll shortly (within the next 1-2 months) be releasing my own 'Easy69' - a slightly simpler version of the above which can be built into a 19" rack or  vertically in a eurorack:

i checked out the EZ and it looks like something I cant NOT go for.

Ram, if you can put it in a 19" id totally jump on it. Well as long as its affordable of course.

PCB grinder's tube eq looks tempting albeit a bit pricy for me. I have high level soldering and attention to detail so I feel I could take it on. I wonder how it sounds.

Thanks for the responces, I love this comunity. Everyones so helpfull if not halarous. :)
