Thanks for that :thumb:
Maybe someone could download and host for a day or two so I can cut the links before they cut themselves? I have no way to host these.

i will see what i can do here, but at this rate it will take a month to download

While I appreciate the effort, that is one of the worst file hosting sites out there. 100 minute wait between downloads, why even bother offering a "free" membership...Try www.mediafire.com
also the console design is available HERE www.paddedcellrecords.co.uk
Me likey faster download! It's safely stored away now.

EDIT: and I am already answering my earlier question---as I should have expected the articles are wonderfully more idiosyncratic and chatty than the HSE chapter---which is itself already probably a lot more entertaining than Mr. Ballou and Howard Sams & Co wished it to be

Makes me realize how much I miss working with Steve, or at least encountering him in the hallway between his cubicle and mine at Harman, where we routinely mock-choked each other in a Monty Pythonesque life-and-death struggle.
Will be pulling links in a couple of days. :thumb:

Someone *please* rehost once these are pulled... It doesn't look like I'll get it all.

bit the bullet and started the download of the handbook for sound engineers.

Went to work and left the computer running. q12 hours later I got it. I have a hard copy but having a searchable PDF is handy.... Plus can cruise with me on my laptop.

Not to get into an argument on copyrights but maybe only certain sections should be hosted. like we did with the Radiotron handbook chapter 5 I believe.

Handbook for Sound Engineers 1st is long out of print---and the newer editions do not have the Dove material as such IIRC.

So there should be little guilt/concern. I still love to have the physical book to hold and peruse.
also the console design is available HERE www.paddedcellrecords.co.uk

and the soundbook for hand engineers  is in three parts HERE, HERE and once again HERE
updated, and staying there till my web host scream about traffic

Are we talking about the "Handbook for sound engineers" form Glen M. Ballou here ?

I've got the third edition in paper version. It's a really great book, but I'm just wondering if it's not a "copyright violation" to make a copy availaible "on line".

eD)))

The third edition is very much in print and would occasion a hue and cry I suspect. It also lacks a lot of good material from the first ed.

i am in the process of uploading them to an invite only site, you will have to email me first to gain access, but it should be more secure, i will host more of this stuff then.

i dont understand most of the electronics stuff at the moment, so its all i can do to contribute here
Thank you for helping out lofi, can anyone else help mirror these?
