Like every good audio DIY'er I started collecting knobs early on. The knobs are icing on the cake and make for a professional looking build.
I had a real shine on for the shadow hills style round knobs - the big, beefy Bakelite beauties on beasts like these
I have a few. They are not Bakelite, but they are beautiful knobs nonetheless. They are brand new, never used. There are two brass set screws on each knob.
The shafts are not 1/4 inch - they are slightly smaller, but the inner brass sleeve can easily be drilled out to accept a 1/4 shaft. Easy peezy and I've done it lots of times. These knobs look great on just about anything.
