hi guys,
has anyone ever made their own fused XLR cables and probes to protect their test equipment? I took a spanking on repairing my test equipment recently and I think I'de like to make these devices.
The thing is, in my experience it seems like the current that usually breaks fuses more so than the voltage. Some quick blow fuses or breakers might be nice? recently an arc inside of a bad DUT blew out TWO of my analyzers!
what do you guys think?
cheers,
