Can anyone lead me to a BOM for the G-Pultec?

Maybe I'm missing something simple but I've looked everyplace I can think of...

Can I have a copy of your BOM too?  I did look at the board and draw up a components list and have a bom, but i would like to compare component selection

The things that frustrated me:

1. I question everything/part... Like "will this cap work... what will it sound like?"
2. You find a cap/inductor type that someone likes or is using, then you find that every value is available except 1 or 2!
3. So the whole process starts over... Find something someone like... try to order... they don't make one of the Values...

The biggest restriction you may be facing with this build could be PC Board/part alignment and general real estate.  I'm not sure how easy & open it will be for mounting the inductor.  If you aren't restricted there it opens up the sowter and cinemag coils. I believe they sell one at don audio as well.  Then just recalculate for the needed cap value.  So some flexibility there. Sometimes it's necessary to parallel caps which may be tricky on a PCB.  The Wima types unfortunately don't lend themselves to easy // lead ties.

How much better are the sowter than the fastron inductors?  The price difference is insane!  Is it worth the extra $?

I've never used fastron.  I've used both the sowter and cinemag in a pair of p to p clones and they both sound/perform very good. So far I can't say that I can hear any substantial differences in tone between the two.

The price difference may reflect mu can shielding.  The Cinemags don't use a mu can.  I haven't had any problems related to lack of can shielding so far.  I also used an external PS.  If your PT is going to be mounted inside the chassis I suppose it's worth checking around to see if anyone else has had field pickup issues with unpotted inductors.  I don't recall ever reading of any cases of this.

yes I was planning on mounting the PT in the case, and one of my biggest concerns was flux bleeding through.  Thats why I was asking.  I suppose the fastrons are cheap enough to buy and if I am not happy with them I could always upgrade to the sowter or cinemag later.

i have an excel spreadsheet, but i have yet to add spacing for the electrolytics and terminals.  post as is, or hold off for measurements?

may as well wait for the ones with the right footprint if your doing a mouser or ordering BOM for g-pultec.

i actually dont have clear values even, lots of conflicting lists that i dont remember where i got.
what are you working from?

I find it so odd that no one will or can post a bom. It'd be so helpful. I am sure it'd be easy enough to find values, but what about lead spacing? which switches fit the pcb and what not. Jacob? Do you have one you could post? Anyone?

Much appreciated,
Brice
