hairball 1176 vev D Meter problem

I have finished building  my 1176 rev D and calibrated it as instructed. Does anyone have an idea why the meter slams and sticks when I push the 4:1 ratio button? The meter moves to the left when I select the other ratios.

This really should be in the Rev D thread, it would get more attention there, but my first guess is a wrong resistor or solder bridge on the ratio board. Look the ratio board over GOOD for anything out of place, such as the wrong resistor, glob of solder, etc.

Is the meter slamming in GR mode or output +4/+8 modes? Assuming you mean GR mode..
