Bought a Harrison Series 12 Console that began its life in Burbank, CA as a film remix board.

Running into some problems firing it and I hope there is some help from some of the Harrison S12 or MPC users around here.

1. Error on the Macintosh when I fire up the shell saying "error : not all cards are enabled." Checked the hardware and both NuBus cards are seated properly. Happens with or without the master and slave cables connected. Is there a config I need to run for the mac to see both cards?

This leads to a blank screen showing on the touchscreen (flatscreen now). Just the Macintosh paper-ish desktop background.

2. The surface is stuck in smartstart. All the faders return on their own but only lights on the right half. Maybe once the Shell runs this will go away.

Hi-speed runs from the "panel" on the drawer to the left half of the board and daisy chained over to the Hi speed on the right half of the desk.

There's only one pretty weak diagram for set up in my installation manual. Missing the legendary "setting up the Series 12" documentation.

Correct, the router/monitor rack usually runs with this from the factory as a third rack. The previous owner had a Harrison tech out and they dumped that rack as it's not necessary for studio use. Dolby surround, digital patchbays, etc. run off of that one. There is another main audio rack not shown here that carries all the audio cards.

Harrison's manual has one diagram which I copied as closely as i am able, but wanted to see if any of y'all know if something is way off here.

I'll find that page of the manual and post it here.

I'm not a Harrison expert, but I was working at a place that had a series 12 recording board about 10 years ago. I seem to remember there being two or three 6 foot racks with audio cards in connected with masses of screened ribbon cable that I'm not seeing in your pics. Just saying since your error code is saying not all cards installed.
