Help w/ HPGL files and Corel Draw

Hey guys, I'm trying to make a logo similar to the ever-so-popular ua diamond (white lettering in a black diamond). I've got a trial version of corel draw up and running, and I've made the logo, but I'm having trouble filling in the diamond, and not the letters inside. I can do it, but then it doesn't translate to front panel designer (when I open it in FPD, the entire diamond is filled in with black). I assume the issue is some kind of fill setting during export....

can anyone help...or have any experience with logo designs?

look at :http://www.eprintdriver.com/ I've used this to convert aFDP file into a Autocad file and it worked.
