Help with wiring 3P4T rotary switch

Hey all,
So I have wired up a 3p4t rotaty switch for Left, Right, and Center on my DIY summing mixer. But I amm not getting left and, right pans. No matter what postiton the switch is in, it is always center(playing in left and right). I have attached a pic with the wiring I have done so you can see where I might be going wrong with this.

It looks like your left & right are always connected together by the 2 dotted wires that go to the centre position.

Yep! you are right. I took me a while to realize it. I didn't really think about signal flow. I guess I figured it would only go one way. Bone head mistake! haha
