Was wondering if anyone here knows of a low imp humbucking pickup maker. How makes pickups that fit in already existing standard humbucking and singlecoil/stacked humbucker cutouts. None of the comercial ones I've been looking at seem to have the charateristics I'm looking for.
I'm looking for pickups with a frequency response that is much higher than normal say beyond 10kHz so I can use it with my resonant low pass circuit on an electric guitar. I play speedmetal to jazz, funk, blues. So I want to have a guitar with very versitile Tonal Shaping and have enough output to really overdrive a tube amp front end if I need it too.
I have a gibson SG-Z with a stacked humbucker in the neck (Which is very nice mellow and kinda strat like, and a 500T Hot humbucker at the bridge. Its way unballanced as far as output with the neck pickup, and its resonant peak is in kinda a raspy spot. Its great for metal but not too much else.
