It's hard to be too serious about TV but I just saw a MacGyver episode where they disassembled a cold war soviet computer and the module they pulled out has a CE logo. 
In fact the module looked a little like a fader but not exactly.
Other than that it was as campy as the original series. I like when they occasionally do something that might actually work scientifically. Some small fraction of the old MacGyver gags were possible too.
