I'm trying to do a conversion on a couple of Hitachi cameras, I need to finda source for the viewfinder connector. It's an 8-pin with one pin in the middle and the seven arrayed equally in a ring around the center pin. The outside is a bayonet fitting of a comparable size to a BNC.

Anyone know where to look for them? -I need two, one for each camera.

I found this pinout on the web, but it specifies a DIN connector, which usually doesn't include a bayonet. So it might not be what you're seeking, but here's the link just in case:

I don't know how much compatibility there is between makes (probably little or none!); but for what it's worth, here's the pinout for the 8-pin VF connectors used for older Sony viewfinders:
