I thought you would have a solution by now? I have been using superglue (Loctite 444) and accelerant (Loctite 7452) for quick strain relief of test wires. That pollutes the work environment so I spray and go for a walk. There is also UV glue that cures quickly. We have a dedicated bench for the UV gun, but anyone can walk up while it's being used and get an eyeful, that bench is also a shared solder station, so between the uncured UV glue drippings and the excessive Flux everywhere it's stickier than a porno theater(I would imagine).
