Some transformers have difficult bobins to buy(..some people from forum dont want to sell if they have), for few piece i think to roder from PCB factory, and what i make:

Nice! Very creative. Another option is to 3D-print a bobbin, but this of course has the advantage of also doubling as an easy way to connect the wires.
 
smart ! that is really something I would like to try at some point in my life... widing transformers and inductors. Bravo !

Neat and tidy, i like that. i Recently used a bar of steel in my lathe to hold a couple of transformer bobbins while winding them.
I also have a dedicated coil winder for guitar pickups. A very simple device using a 12volt drill motor i just use double sided tape to hold the bobbins in place while winding them ( not as heavy as the bobbins your winding )
