[quote author="StephenGiles"]Like the shock of handling a raw sausage blindfold at a gay party (thanks Viv Stanshall) I have found .........SSM 2016 - Differential Audio Preamplifier, a paper from SSM dated 1986. It has 9 pages so I can either photo copy and send to someone in the UK who can scan it, or I can take digital photos and post what comes out. Take your pick.

I was about to say I won't touch that one...

The Bonzo Hot Dog Band?

Ted, thanks again. I didn't know it even existed. I will contact THAT to get pricing and I guess some chips along to evaluate.

If this chip is as good as they say it would seem to be the next best thing to discrete circuits.

It may be better for me to build a set of external preamps that I can just plug in to the board instead of trying to "upgrade" the existing circuit.

Jack, no I still need the Datasheet. All I have is the pineout which is OK but not enough to compare the chips.

If its no trouble I would appreciate a copy. Would you post a URL or can you send it to me here?

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.

Yeah, I'd like to know, too. After several years' wait, I didn't really expect them to be released anymore. Profusion lists the 1510 for ? 3.28 and the 1512 for ? 3.95. That's cheaper than the INA chips (in small quantities). If they really are as good as THAT claims...

Thanks for the Data Sheets. I have the Analog device SSM2016 on my board. Is there a diference between specs?

I sent you an email about the chips and board.

Jim
