I have the LA 1A, but no documents.  Try Phil at Retro Instruments, he may have something.

For all owners of this unit - all it takes is about several hours of time to draw out a schematic.  Job done.  Problem solved.    ;)

And, you don't have to worry about whether some schematic on the web matches your unit, or whether there's any mistakes as can sometimes happen even on factory copies.

I don't really see how "because you drew it yourself" equates to "you don't have to worry about mistakes"...

Although I do agree with the main point of your post.  :)

Good point as far as personal mistakes.    That's where the forum can be of great assitance.  Post what you think is correct and allow the more advanced members to help correct any glaring errors.

You'd think as many reverse engineered schematics as I've posted on the intertubes, that people would be sending me things like this to figure out.  Never happens, kinda surprising.  Guess people would rather wait for some free info to surface.  I'd have that thing drawn and redrawn in about 3 hours, test measurements within 4, probably more info than the official document.  Plenty of people here could do it.

As you don't give the tube complement I'm unable to check but I have the manual of the ITA AGC-1A Automatic Gain Control Amplifier which is also based on the classic 6386 circuit. (like STA-Level, Uni-Level, and many others...). As there might be some similarities, I ve included the schematic below. Hope it could be useful to someone.
