i wonder if this would be good for any applications such as a stereo pre/comp/limiter ect..

Made for television remote volume control. Max. dist.: 1% (compare to THAT..). May be interesting-sounding, but not really that good. And not widely available.

yeah... wasnt sure if it would be fun for tinkering...
i look at electronic goldmine alot and thought maybe that would be fun for someone to mess with...
the stereo volume control with 2181's from that looks pretty good.
