Anyone know the name of this mains connector? It is found on a Gates Level-Devil and I'm trying to find the correct plug for it. The socket is about 12.5 x 22 mm (0.5 inch x 0.87 inch)

the 'correct' plug for this one is a drill and a hammer to get rid of it I think. put in a decent modern one or if you are retro style oriented you might find some NOS....

halfway down the page:

Cinch AC Jack (what you have)
8 Foot Cheater TV Cord (what you need)

Argh: "Sold out"

AGREE that the best answer, *especially* in a non-US land, is to replace it with an IEC power system. Those Cinch connectors were always cheap and often made bad contact. Any cord you can find today will be VERY old and probably fragile. And US-type 2-blade.

old appliances at salvage stores, Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.  Grounding is still an issue.

Many people solder and shrink a new raw 3-wire to those two, with ground going to a new chassis bolt, the least destructive to the amp.
