INA103 vs THAT 1510 1512

Had some ina103 chips and some empty 500 series slots, Has anyone compared the THAT 1510 / 1512 with the INA chips?

How tight of a comparison are you trying to get? I've not noticed much of a subjective difference between them but haven't done any comparative measurements.

More interested in subjective differences, does one sound "better" than the other. Grace uses INA103, not sure what standalone pres use THAT.

The INA103 pre I built sounds good, a bit brighter than the Millennia HV35. So in part wondering how THAT would compare tonally.

Do you have simple frequency resolve measurements of INA103 based and HV35 preamps ?

I didn't bother with that this time around. I've done that in past, but frequency plots don't tend to reveal much, pres that sound different will often messure the same.

I can't image how any of the IA preamp chips could possibly have different frequency responses. The particular circuit one is used, maybe.

Agreed. At least across the audio band. But if looking for differences still worthwhile to cover the basics for the avoidance of doubt. THD / IMD / Noise prob of more interest.
