Happy to join. The information and expertise in this community is impressive. In my teens and young adult years, I was an FM radio station board operator and engineer, built a couple of remote studios, and had my hands in a number of FCC FM construction permit applications.
I still am involved in audio now and then.
It said to post my gear, which is rudimentary as I primarily record spoken word. I occasionally record music and am beginning to dabble with virtual synths and instruments. I have a Tascam DR-100 MkII portable recorder, occasionally use Audacity on a PC, and recently acquired Ableton Live with an Arturia Minilab 3. I picked up a used Apogee Duet to pair with a MAC but haven't used it yet. Also have a Teac 3300 reel-to-reel. Mikes are a Neumann KMR-81i shotgun, Sanken COS-11D lav, EV RE-20 cardoid, Beyer M58 omni, and a Shure PZM.
